CHALLENGE
After successfully meeting and exceeding Prada’s deadlines with the opening of Crystals at City Center, we were once again called upon to produce an exterior storefront wrap, interior custom wallpaper and backlits for their sister brand Miu Miu. The challenge, similar to Prada’s, was to adhere to their strict brand guidelines for each of these projects. Specifically, the exterior wrap needed to strategically mask the 1,800+ square feet of storefront space inside the Crystals. Simultaneously, we were asked to create a patterned wallpaper to be featured inside the store. Aside from the meticulous printing solutions necessary to fulfill a project of this size and scope, the branded wallpaper also had to be lit from behind and the patterns had to match up perfectly in order to create a flawless look.STRATEGY
As with our past work with Prada, we knew we had to move forward diligently. Therefore we planned a phased approach that would allow for a logical and efficient workflow of the projects at hand.We received the specs and images and immediately began working on the production of the storefront wrap. Meanwhile, our team strategized and began the color matching process for the patterned wallpaper. The wallpaper pattern needed to align to the interior and exterior soffits perfectly. In conjunction, our team also worked on a proprietary textile for the backlits and installed them to ensure that the design was seamless.
RESULT
We met Miu Miu’s high standards by providing custom printing solutions that has further solidified our business relationship with fashion house, Prada and allowed us the opportunity to work with other Miu Miu stores outside of Las Vegas.Click here to download a pdf version of this case study.
